Computer PeripheralsHow to Adjust Colors on an LCD Monitor

My name is James, Computer Hardware Training
Coordinator for InterConnection and I'm going to show you how to adjust the color on your
monitor. What we have here is an average LCD. Monitor. You can change the color on this
through the monitor itself independent of the computer.

All the monitors out there are
different but the inherited properties are all the same. The first thing you have to
do is find the Menu button. Right here it says Menu. You push it and the menu's going
to show up on the screen.

We're right there. We want to use these buttons to get over to
something that'll say Color. So we're going to go over, that's display size so we don't
want that button so we'll go back, hit this button. There you go, Contrast, Image Lock,
Color.

Now what we want to do to get into it, so we're going to hit Menu again and now
we can go into different precepts and users. We're going to scroll over and go to User.
Hit Menu. Now we can adjust Red, Green, Blue. The mixture of these 3 colors makes all the
colors you see on the monitor.

So, maybe we need a little more red. We have red selected
as you can see up here, now I've selected green, now I've selected blue. So, let's go
back to red. Let's take some red out.

You can put a little more in there and let's return
it back to Default because I was pretty happy with the way that this monitor was. We can
also go down to green. Adjust it all the way one way. Adjust it all the way the other way.
One tip I have is to have a background that you know how you want it to look and keep
adjusting until you get the desired effect.

So let's go back to 50 because I was pretty
happy where this monitor was and right about there. Pretty happy with that green. Colors
up here look good. Little boy looks realistic.

All the colors look just about right. The
blue. Pretty happy with it. My name is James and I just showed you how to adjust your monitor's
color..
